Since 1998, Russell Hockey and Game of the Week have strived to provide a 'Safe, Fun & Relaxed Atmosphere' in every one of our leagues. Our non-competitive league follows these sets of rules in every location to maintain our unique game of hockey. Russell Hockey reserves the right to transfer players in order to balance teams if necessary. This helps to ensure your enjoyment of our program.
***All players must sign our WAIVER in order to go on our ice
***Neck guards, full equipment required.
*** Any player committing multiple stick infractions in the same game is subject to a game misconduct.
***Hot Dog Rule- This is enforced any time a player who is completely dominating the game ( referees discretion ). In other words, the referee can call off a goal that is scored under the definition of the Hot Dog Rule.
• Continuous play / 50 minute games
• No body contact
• No fighting (Any fighting will result in lifetime ban from Russell Hockey)
• Offside - Offensive team will give possession of the puck to the defensive team and clear the offensive zone
• Face-offs - Face-offs will only occur at start of the game.
• Goals - Following a goal, the offensive team will clear the zone and allow the defensive team have possession of the puck
• Icing - No icing calls or two line pass calls
• Penalties - Any penalty will result in a penalty shot
• Severe Penalties - Our refs have the right to remove any player from the ice for an intentional infraction. This may lead to further suspension of expulsion from the league without reimbursement.
